Self-Improvement Month

September is all about getting back onto a regular routine: back to school, back to work, and back to colder weather. However, September is also self-improvement month!!

Self-improvement is not about changing who you are and striving for perfection. It is about being a better version of you, making yourself happier, and giving yourself a better quality of life. This might seem quite intimidating, but with a positive attitude, you can become a better you every day!

Make time for you:

If you have a difficult finding time for yourself, try to schedule it in to your daily routine. Schedule 20 minutes every day to relax and de-stress. Whatever it is that calms you down; from cooking, to exercising, to watch your favorite reality TV show, it is up to you.

Appreciate what you have:

A great way to improve in your self is to recognize and appreciate what is already in your life. Focus on the positive. Think about all the things that you love about yourself and what you have. For example, thank your friends, call up your grandparents, and take your dog out for a run. These things will all prime your mind towards successful self-improvement.

Find a Podcast:

Podcast are great to listen to, to make you feel a little bit better about yourself and the topics are endless! No matter what you are interested in, the options are never-ending. Go to iTunes and find one you like. Listen to it on the way to and from work. They are completely free and you can learn so much about yourself from listening.

Alter your diet:

Your diet and nutrition is the foundation to your overall health. Your mood, waistline, and memory are all impacted by your nutrition and diet. Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. Go to your local farmer market every Saturday morning and be inspired by all the local artisans.

Everyone lives such busy lives and there is hard to find the quality time you need to make you feel good and happy with yourself. These four tips will help you stay on track this fall and hopefully make you feel like you have improved. Celebrate self-improvement month with us at Baron Insurance and try to improve your life for the better.
