Mixing it up on the Barbeque

Everybody loves to barbeque and with this warm weather ahead, new recipes are on everyone’s radar.  Summer staples, like burgers and hot dogs are classics and never get old! However, sometimes you need to mix it up and try something new. Try some of these creative tips to bring some life back to your backyard get-togethers.

Romaine Lettuce– Caesar salad is great on a summer day, but a grilled Caesar salad is even better. Cut your romaine lettuce length wise and drizzle with salt and pepper. Grill it for two to three minutes on each side and serve with some Caesar salad dressing.

Mini Portobello Burgers- These grilled mini Portobello burgers offer vegetarians a unique option. Check out this recipe, but you might want to make extra, they looks so good!

Balsamic Vegetables– Everybody has tried grilled vegetables before, but next time; marinade them in a balsamic vinaigrette before grilling. Everybody will love to see this summer staple transformed.

Grilled Chocolate Banana– A banana version of s’mores??? Yes, please! Slice your banana open length wise and place on a piece of aluminum foil. Insert mini marshmallows and chocolate chips into the sliced banana. Wrap the banana in aluminum foil and cook on the grill for 5-6 mins over medium heat. Unwrap, top with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, and eat with a spoon.

Grilled Potato Salad– Another summer barbeque favorite is potato salad. But, why not mix your regular recipe with one that is grilled? This recipe will change your backyard barbeques for the better.

Grilled Brie Cheese- Placing a wheel of brie cheese on a piece of foil and grilling it has never been easier. Drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil and fresh strawberries. Your guests will be begging to come back.

Steak Fajita Skewers- This one is definitely a game-changer. Tortillas on a skewer? This recipe will change your summer barbeques.

Grilled peaches- For a tasty and light dessert; grill some peaches over your barbeque and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This warm weather is made for barbequing! It is too hot to cook inside and it’s so much fun to cook every possible meal off of the grill. Almost anything can be cooked off the barbeque and the results are always tasty. If you don’t own a grill, it may be time to invest.
